    Role Overview

    The Head of Programming owns the operational and financial engine behind every Tapped In event. You are responsible for making events happen on time, on budget, and at margin. The Founder retains creative and curatorial control — you own the execution.

    What You Own

    • Financial discipline — every event must hit its margin target
    • Venue sourcing, negotiation, and vendor management
    • Ticket pricing strategy within approved guardrails
    • Attendance forecasting and capacity planning
    • Pre-event logistics and day-of operational execution
    • Operational consistency — repeatable playbooks for every event type

    What the Founder Owns

    • Final approval on all event concepts, venues, and budgets
    • Member composition — who gets invited and community curation
    • Brand identity, hosting, and the in-room experience

    Financial Framework

    Revenue Formula

    Net Profit = (Tickets Sold × Price) − Total Event Costs

    Max Spend Formula

    Max Spend = (Expected Attendance × Ticket Price) × (1 − Margin Target)

    Attendance Forecasting: You are responsible for projecting realistic attendance based on historical data, event type, and market conditions. Budgets are built on your forecasts — accuracy matters.

    Ticket Participation: You control pricing within the approved ranges above. Any pricing outside these ranges requires Founder approval.

    • 100% of scheduled pop-outs executed on time
    • ≥20% net margin on every event
    • ≥80% capacity utilization across all events
    • Zero budget overruns — strict spend discipline

    Head of Programming

    Full authority and compensation

    • 15% of net event profits (revenue minus all costs)
    • Own the annual event roadmap and calendar
    • Lead retreat planning end-to-end
    • Build and manage vendor relationships independently
    • Executive Assistant access for logistics coordination

    Time Commitment

    Flagship Events (Pop-Outs, Activity): 4–7 hours per event (sourcing, planning, coordination, day-of)
    Casual Bonding: 2–4 hours per event (lighter logistics)
    Retreats: Significantly higher — multi-week planning cycles with travel coordination
